Underneath Water

This week we spend some time reflecting on our baptisms as we look at Jesus’ baptism according to Luke. We sing songs of dedication and surrender. We read Scripture about God’s powerful voice and the power of God over water.

Sermon Text: Luke 3:15-22

As mentioned in the service, we have our job description for the Administrative Assistant position finalized. You can find the details for that position, as well as how to apply, here.

Bearing Witness: See God at Work

This week we continued our Bearing Witness series, looking to John 5 to examine what it means for God to always be at work. In service this week, we were led in Scripture and Prayer by Kris Wales, communion by Marion Greaser, and in singing by Lauren Tomlinson, Ann Sippy, Sandy Polcyn, and Kathi Seman. Additionally, we got to hear from Tom Sippy as he reflected on God’s faithfulness in his career.

Stand Firm

This week, we finished up our trek through the book of Ephesians by looking at the Armor of God (6:10-20). In this text, Paul calls upon us to stand firm and to “withstand” the onslaught of the enemy. But Paul also reminds us who our enemy is. We were led in Scripture and Prayer by Chardel Johnston, worship by Lauren Tomlinson and Terry Walker, and Terry also led our communion time.

Your Faith has Saved You

On this, 5th Sunday of Ordinary Time, we look at Mark 5:21-43 and explore what it means to have faith that saves. Jesus heals a woman because of her faith. What does that mean for our faith today? Join us in song, Scripture, prayer, a sermon, and communion as we explore this together!
