Resources

Discipleship and Christian maturity are not meant to be done alone! We are meant to grow in community and are meant to grow together! Chances are if you are on this page of our website, you are looking for help growing in maturity to Christ. We hope that the resources below will enable you to grow into the image of Christ.

Bible Reading Plans

We all know that reading our Bibles is important, but knowing where to start is sometimes overwhelming. There are many different ways one can read the Bible, and if you already have a regimen, we encourage you to keep that! If you are looking for a plan to help you read your Bible, below are some options!

  • Daily Lectionary Bible Reading – Our Sunday services are guided by the Church Calendar (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, etc.) and align most of the time with the 3 year Cycle of the Revised Common Lectionary. It may be helpful for your personal reading to accompany the 2 year cycle of the Daily Lectionary. What is particularly helpful here is that instead of keeping track of which day of the plan you just finished, so long as you know the date, you can find your reading.
  • Cover to Cover Reading Plan – Some people want to read the Bible as it is arranged, beginning in Genesis and ending in Revelation. If you want to try that, here is a great plan for you!
  • Chronological Bible Reading Plan – Our Bibles aren’t laid out Chronologically. That is, some of the things happen at the same time, across different books of the Bible and it may be helpful to read the Bible more like a story, from start to finish without going back and forth in time.

A Prayer Guide

The prayer guide below, titled “A Missional Examen” is a guide which can be done in about 30 minutes. It will guide you through reflecting on your day helping you to examine moments in which your emotions were stirred, where you experienced God’s grace, and what God is inviting you to do as a next step. It is our hope that this type of prayer becomes a guiding principle for your life. See where God is active. Join God in the work. Tell the world what God has done.

Certainly, there are other ways to pray. This is meant as a primer to help you grow in your prayer life and develop your relationship with God.

Evangelism

Evangelism can be scary. We don’t always know what to say or how to approach it! While there are many ways to evangelize, and everyone does it differently, one thing that we think is helpful is working on your “Elevator Story.” Imagine that you have 45 seconds to a minute with someone. What would you say about God’s impact in your life? Below is a guide that can be used to write your own!
