This week is the 3rd week of Advent, where we typically focus on Joy. “The joy of the lord is our strength” says Ezra and Nehemiah (Nehemiah 8:10). Join us to find strength in the joy which comes from God! Together we will sing, we will read Scripture, we will pray together and for one another, we will be led in a message from Luke 3:7-18, and we will join the Lord at his table in communion.
This week is the 2nd week of Advent. Together we will be led to the message of peace from God’s Kingdom and we will be challenged to prepare the way of the Lord as we await Christ’s coming in a few weeks.
Advent began this week as we begin our 4 week journey to Christmas. This week, our theme is Hope and we spent the service learning how to hold our heads up in the midst of chaos and pain and darkness.
Please note: there was a technical issue with the sound from the sermon on so there is some static that can be heard. We apologize for that.
On this Christ the King Sunday we celebrate the sovereignty of Jesus Christ over all creation. We looked at Jesus and Pilate’s interaction before Jesus was killed an asked what does it mean for Jesus to be our king?
What does it mean for Christ to enter a Sanctuary not made by human hands? Is there any other kind of Sanctuary? We looked at this question today as we opened our bibles to Hebrews 9:23-28. Communion was led by Roy Ratcliff, Prayer and Scripture reading by Rob Ehlers and singing by Lauren Tomlinson and Ann Sippy.
This week, our children joined us for worship as we took some time to ponder what is the most important commandment and how we might follow it. We spent some time in prayer, communion, Scripture, and song.
As we near the end of Ordinary Time, we are drawn to the realization that God’s love empowers all that we do. Christ is ever working, and that means he is ever working on our behalf. This week, Kathi Seman, Grace Odoi, and Ann Sippy led us in singing, Wayne Shockley in prayer and our Scripture Reading, Marion Greaser in communion. Our sermon focused on Christ’s never-ending work as our Eternal High Priest and Mediator.
This week, we look at Hebrews 5:1-10 in our sermon, where Jesus is said to have “learned obedience through what he suffered.” What does that mean? What might we learn from Jesus’ experience through life? We are led in worship singing by Lauren Tomlinson and Briana Lee, prayer and Scripture by Kris Wales, and Communion by Rob Ehlers.
