The New Adam

This weekend is the First Sunday in Lent. We will sing, pray, read Scripture, and be led in communion. Adam will preach on the Temptation of Jesus. As the Lenten Fast was designed to emulate Christ’s time in the wilderness where Satan tempted him, it is fitting that we begin this season with him in the wilderness.

All You Need is Love

This week we will spend some time reflecting on the sort of love that God shows to us, and how we might show that same love to others. We will sing, read scripture together, dwell in Luke 6:27-38, and partake in communion.

Plain Faith

This week we are led to consider what matters most. Is it riches, or food, or respect, or happiness? Or is it something deeper? Are we who lack those things being ignored by God or are we loved in spite of our social standing?

Casting Call

This weekend we will be looking at the response of the faithful to an interaction with God. Our readings will show us Isaiah in God’s throne, and our sermon will look at Jesus calling his first disciples. What is Love?

This week we will reflect on Paul’s famous words to Corinth about love. Many of us know these words from weddings and vow renewals, but what did Paul have in mind when he wrote these words?

Indispensable

This week, we reflected on how we are members of one another, members of the body of Christ, and how God has called us indispensable. We are not indispensable for any reason other than being a member of the body. That is, we are valuable simply because God says so.
