This weekend is the celebration of Pentecost. 50 days after Passover, while the disciples were in a room, the Holy Spirit came among them like a whirlwind. Ever since, the Holy Spirit has been given to followers of Jesus as a comforter, teacher, and guide. That is something to celebrate! Join us as we rejoice!
This is the last Sunday of the Easter season. Next week is Pentecost, celebrating 50 days from Jesus’ resurrection where the Holy Spirit was given to us! As we end the Easter season, we will look at the last verses of the Bible, and the call for Jesus to “come quickly.”
This week we will rejoice in God’s Spirit, who teaches us, who gives us visions of the future, and who restores our souls. Together we will sing, read scripture, meditate on God’s Kingdom, and take communion.
This weekend we are joined by John and Ruth Navis, of Christ for Sao Luis, one of the missions that Westwood supports. Together we will spend some time celebrating Jesus, our Good Shepherd who calls sheep of every nation and tongue to his throne!
This weekend we will look at Jesus’ third interaction with his disciples after he resurrected. Jesus makes breakfast for his disciples, helps them catch some fish, and offers reconciliation to Peter. Together, we will sing, pray, and dwell in the word.
This weekend we will continue celebrating the Risen Lord! Christ the Lord is risen indeed! We will look at the appearance of Jesus to the disciples and Thomas. We will sing songs of celebration in our Savior’s resurrection and we will reflection
He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! Together we celebrate Christ’s victory over sin and death! Christ’s victory was not only for himself though, it was for us! For that, we celebrate and rejoice! Halleluiah!
Join us to honor and witness what God did for humanity on Good Friday. Together, we will read the story of Jesus’ arrest, trial, crucifixion, and burial, interspersed with singing, prayer, communion and a brief message.
Join us this weekend for Palm Sunday as we kick off Holy Week. Together we will prepare for Jesus’ death and resurrection with Scripture, songs, prayer, a sermon, and communion. Plan to join us on Friday at 6pm for our Good Friday service, and make sure to join us on Easter! We’ll have breakfast together at 9, and then worship at 10!
